Adaptive Image Compression (AIC) is an Akamai technology that dynamically serves JPG images with different levels of compression depending on the current network conditions (RTT value).
Please note the level of compression achieved by AIC is affected by the properties of the original JPEG image like for example the number of colors (8bit or 24bit), the subfile type (YUV 4:4:1, YUV 4:4:2, YUV 4:4:4, etc.) or the quality level (integer between 1 and 100)
(it is recommended you open the original and AIC versions side by side to see the improvements on load times)
High Resolution Image (5184 x 3456 pixels)
Lower Resolution Image (640 x 426 pixels)
Thumbnail Resolution Image (200 x 106 pixels)
